#TBT Music That Felt Good : The Weeknd's Trilogy

Music that made sense for the era. The Weekend today is not The Weekend we used to enjoy back in the day. Abel, not just because he has the same name as a special someone. I was thrilled by his richness. The quality of his work in which not many artists was at. The brought grunge, emo, and alternative sounds into a collective album that captivated such a brilliant mood. His music was not for everyone, in which was fine. He didn't need to be mainstream because I hate sharing special artists with narrow minds and those with selective hearing. A girl once stated, "His music sounds scary." I laughed because I was like yes be frightened, his art is magical. The release of timeless mixtapes turned into a masterpiece of collective artworks known as the Trilogy. Below hear his mixtapes.

Mixtape 1 :HOUSE OF BALLOONS

I did last week a #tbt post for Tumblr Daze and I forgot to add the artists that set the tone. The Weekend was one of those artists that helped with the moods I was feeling at that given moment. It's like he read the mind of women. He could navigate them with his sultry lyrics and intellectual minds mixed with a smooth bass.
