TREND ALERT : You guys know I'm not a lover of trends. However I do like to play with them a bit and make them my own. I mean that's the point right? On the top fashion and gossip blogs we see celebrities such as the Kardashian Klan wearing over sized band tees with an interesting embellishment to such a casual attire. Suddenly that basic tee because "the fashion tea." Too hot that you got to try it out for yourself. Corsets that is. Not just a leather belt to cinch in the waist. First it was waist trainers to have zero waistline hidden under your garments. Now they've turned the vintage trend into something the fans are raving for. 

Adding the corset over your t-shirt not only shows off your curves. It creates a certain dialogue and a bold statement shouting EDGE, is made. With that being said this trend says eff your opinions on corsets, it's more than just vanity, I am going to serve you art in the streets. There's a story being told when a corset goes over a minimal staple piece. It's as if women are enjoying their femininity so much and love to be comfortable so they are dueling it out for their boyfriend's wardrobe. Oversize is in, honey ! Yet if you want to captivate the audience throw on that waist cincher and look bad ass. I personally love the corset trend it's rebellious but so sexy and chic. Especially when the t-shirt is long enough to be worn as a dress. Throw on your six inch heels on, your fur coat and a red lip! Yesss Slayyy !

How I Styled My Corset:

Firstly, I purchased my corset that came with thin straps at the local GoodWill. GoodWill and I need to have a partnership or more like sponsorship, so I can edit and remix their second hand clothes child!

Overall I love how corsets hug your body and tightening and flattening your core, forcing you to have amazing posture. I wore it all day and it was a struggle to get off but I did it after being glammed up making sure the world read my storybook look I was serving.

BONES IN FASHION

Tiny stick-like materials in which resembles a bone made too hold a piece of a garment together, creating structure, and balance. 

SPINES IN LITERATURE

The piece that hold the book together, the spinal cord of a paperback or hardcover book. Connecting the loose leaf to a bind at the midpoint. 

BONES and SPINES are essential in our daily living even outside of the physical body.
