"Honey Do You Want To Look Like Money ?" 2 Ways To Style Your Faux Fur

The essence of making cheap look chic is simple how you style statement pieces. In this post I have collaborated with the lovely TheySayAsh as we style our favorite faux furs. It is super cold her in NJ and it's time to serve up some faux fur looks. My favorite furs I have worn over and over again, however within this posts catch a glimpse of my latest thrifted piece. That's right I thrifted my fur and honey, let me tell you, I look like money. Everyone always tells me how luxurious I look when I wear my furs. It's how I put it together that makes me stand out. We are going to show you lovely readers how you too can look like money, stunting in you Fa La La La Faux Fur. Happy Holidays .

It was a pleasure working with Ashley. Anyone who knows me knows that I'm a ball of fun and loves to laugh. No matter how awkward or quirky I am, I will make you laugh. It's just my personality. Literally every shot we took our mouths were agape, heads thrown back, and all our teeth we exposed. Laughing is great for your health, you should try it more often. Ashley posted her piece yesterday. As well as I created a little film above that you probably already watched. I'm not too late am I? Literally trying to manage posts and stay relevant is quite a process. Management is key in this blogging world. Anyhow see our continued looks and jolly behavior.

In preparing for our shoot, we decided at first velvet would be a great concept, being that velvet is really in right now. Not that trends are my way of preparing blog posts. Yet it is nice to help the audience understand the trendy fabrications. Denim is an American staple. You can never go wrong with a denim on denim look. Therefore we chose faux fur and denim. When I wear my furs, I place a simplistic, basic look underneath because the outerwear speaks for itself. Fur can be overwhelming therefore a minimal base with a bod outerwear is the way to go. I love going thrifting at random moments because you never know what you could find. It was pay day when I did my little shopping spree at the local thrift store. I picked up to die for pieces and made outfits as I shopped. Ending with a total of $150 bucks. In that mix I got one outerwear, a men's two piece suit coming soon to the blog, two pairs of shoes, this bag in the post, and so many forgiving, timeless gems. By far my favorite thrift haul.

Key to thrifting- Find your theme or inspiration. Grab pieces you can pair several looks with. Build looks as you shop. I have this system when I thrift. If I pick up a turtleneck, I need to pair it three different ways with three bottoms. It helps you know that you will actually use that piece. Shop for your needs first. I know I needed a wedding look, and trousers then I built on top of those main points.
