Shop My Sister's Closet: Olive Co-Ordiante

"My Sister's Closet" is a consignment shop in Monmouth County, NJ

However the play on words stands true for my four sisters and I that share, borrow, and take garments from one another. The perks of have sisters and being able to disperse clothing among ourselves. Yet it's one of the reasons why fights often break out in the home. Now that my older sister has moved out into her apartment, it's easier for me to borrow her clothes and not get back lash for it. Below is a piece form her wardrobe that defines royalty and beauty all in one while keeping a simple tone.

I come from a family of 7 girls 5 of which I lived with for 20years. The fights were more than just cats fighting. They were battles, duals, they were marked in world history that's how intense fights were. Due to the lack of space and lack of l'argent we would share accessories and clothing. But only the strongest would survive. I enjoyed shopping in my older sister's closet. Viola Dossen had a great sense of style compared to the rest. Her jewellery was always on another level of creating statements. It was because her closet game was strong mine became stronger. Moreover,  if you were like myself hat majority of the time would ask before borrowing then you were a team player. In oppose to how my sisters would ransack my wardrobe to then find them in the street with my belongs upon their body. One thing I was not, was petty. However when we got home it was a wrap. I am very particular in how I leave my clothes in my room and how they are organized. I always knew when something was moved or touched. It's not like they could be discrete about it. They would literally return the product damaged or not return it at all. Like, excuse me Ms. but this is not your local retail store you return the item 24hours after use and in the condition in which you found it. That was never the case. As we got older we were happy to share clothes with one another. I have no problem sharing now because everyone has matured and for the most part we don't share clothes like how we used to. Being that everyone's style has evolved individually.

This post is dedicated to all of the siblings out their that share clothes. If my older brother was living today, perhaps I would shop in his closet as well. being that I love menswear. Life's too short to be fighting recklessly over material goods. Nothing lasts forever and I learned that everyday. I honestly do a closet clean out every 2-3 months because I don't wear my clothes like in high school. High school everyday was a fashion show or style presentation for me. In which now I am comfortable putting on statements that are simplistic and comfortable.
