Comfort & Culture Presents "African Print & Shell Toes"

July 07, 2016

Happy Belated fourth to all ! Despite the fact that this is not a holiday I get excited for. It is nice to join in on some festivities. Yet my weekend included work and sleep. However on Monday I was able to enjoy a massive BBQ in New Jersey. hosted by DJ Wallah and friends. Every year my friends and I plan to attend at least one Everyday People event in New York, yet we never make our way to the function. July 4th was Everyday Afrique, I worked on that day and wanted to turn up small. Due to time conflict we weren't able to go and got to watch the enjoyment through social media. The down pour rained on our parade and brought the night to an early end. Let's just say it has been a long weekend and started off to be a long week. Lately I have been feeling anxious and frustrated.  I feel like something is so close but in the distance that is coming my way. I'm on my period (TMI it's life get over it) and my birthday is 4 days away. Counting down the days.

Yesterday was the first day in a long time that I had an extra day off from work. What shall one do on a day off? It's funny because I always complain about lack of time in the day to get what I want done. But when that time is allotted to me and I have "free time" I find myself questioning things and feeling a sense of boredom. I'm used to working and never really having any free time. Here's a 123, "chill day" look. Comfort and Culture,

One can never go wrong with tennis shoes. I told you all I am slowly but surely transitioning into kicks. These high top Adidas I have worn only a few times have made their way out into the sun. I decided to throw on my maxi African printed dress for bold statement yet a littler summer time fly mixed with comfort.
