Dede Takes DC - Peace Be Unto You

Part of the invitation and itinerary sent out to guests. However only one thing on this list occurred, the concert.

My Birthday is a national holiday that I celebrate all month long. I had originally planned a full itinerary for the weekend in Washington D.C. As you all may know planning group trips rarely go as planned. My main reason for wanting to go to DC that weekend was to see Kizz Daniel perform. I set a budget for myself and sent out invitations with a slideshow attached. Due to time constraints in which I understood not everyone I invited could not make it to the weekend getaway.

No matter how many people were in attendance I planned to still enjoy my birthday.

We drove 2 and a half hours from New Jersey to DC on July 7th. We stayed at the lovely Cambria Hotel Washington D.C. Capitol Riverfront. We only spent one night in D.C. however we made the best of it.

The only disappointment of the weekend was not being able to see Kizz Daniel perform longer than 30 minutes. That is correct we made it to the show on time yet he was 3 hours late and only performed about four or five songs. The crowd was beyond angry, I however didn’t sweat it too much.

The next day we walked around DC, our plan to brunch at the Park At the 14th didn’t happen either but I took some Haute pictures and had PBUY by Asake on replay. This birthday was definitely a bittersweet one but nonetheless, it was peaceful.

Who told me to bring big platform heels and wear all white to walk around DC with? Well I didn’t think we would be doing much walking but that was an understatement. My trousers got dirty, so I rolled up the pant legs and I took my heels off. Still cute but definitely not comfortable. This white outfit was in my wishlist for the longest on Fashion Nova it was only right I got it for my birthday. The fitting wasn’t the greatest but the pictures came out nice. When you’re big chested and bottom heavy you have to double up on shape wear. To have a somewhat perfect lift, I wear two strapless bras when I’m wearing sleeveless tops. For a smooth look on the bottom, a hipster under garment paired with spanx or full bodysuit always does the job.
