How To Style Harem Pants, "Soft Grunge"
Bubble Gum Pink Harem Trousers
Rosa Lace Bralette
Stompers (Platform Heeled Ankle Booties) circa 2013
How to balance out a loose fit trouser? Pair it with a fitted crop top or button down blouse. Lately I've been in the mood to be comfortable and relax. Nothing too body hugging, that may require too much attention. This look was a random look, put together on a lazy day. I lounged around the house in this outfit. Yet styled it with a button up that gives you the opportunity to wear this look outside. Surprisingly I didn't wear the bralette by itself outside. It was a bit too risque for the eyes of society (this statement contradicts everything I stand for). However I didn't feel comfortable going out into the public exposing such goodies. Sweets. Bubble Gum. Pink Licorice. "Tastes like candy !"
This overall look is Desiree Dossen 2013. The way I would style this in 2015 includes:
Look 1
- Pair with A Denim Button Down
- Leather Biker Jacket
- Lace Up Heels
- Pair with a transparent clutch
Look 2
- Black Cami/Tank, or a crop top that is sleeveless
- Pair it with an oversized cut out boyfriend blazer
- Cut-out Peep-toe ankle booties
- Put Hair In A Top Knot
I don't think I would wear this look to go out again. I would style it differently. However I thought for a post why not have fun with it.
I call it "Soft Grunge." The color pink makes this look softer than your average grunge look. That may incorporate colors such as black, grey, cream, red etc. The Grunge style is filled with textures and dark colors, with an edgy vibe. Metal, Leather, Heavy Duty Grips come to mind when I think of Grunge. T-shirts with favorite Rock/Metal bands come to mind as well. Plus everything oversized is key.
