No Days Off
9.23.2015
Today was my first real day off in like forever. Let's recap how my Wednesday went. My alarm went of multiple times this morning starting at 5:50am. Each time I hit the snooze button to catch a little more zzzz. Unfortunately my slumber had to come to an end and I officially woke up at 6:20am. Almost an hour later. I prepared myself a hot shower. I wasn't planning on beating my face this morning, being that I was already behind schedule. My train was scheduled to come 7:37am, giving me no time to get flawless. I did not allow time to stop me from putting my face on. Just to boost my confidence and widen my tired eyes I decided to play with my cosmetics and bring "The Bronzed Beauty" to life. While the sun tried to peak through my blinds and get a glimpse of my morning routine, I found myself in a fantastic mood.
Furthermore, I missed the 7:37 train and caught the 8:01 train. Leaving me with 8 minutes to fast walk to class in order to be on time. Yes, it takes me one hour to get to school by train. I've gotten used to this long commute, keeping myself occupied at all times. However as I step foot on campus, I realized how empty it was compared to the many students scurrying to their 9:00am classes on Wednesdays. But, I didn't think anything of it and kept on walking fast to class. I enter my building and show my ID when the security guard nods his head but then stops me as I take another step. He asks, "Miss where are you going?" I answer with a confused tone, "To class." He then stated, "There's no class today, school is closed. It's a holiday." Throwing my head back and feeling a rush of irritated emotions flood my happy mood. I answer, "Are you serious?" Long story short I went to school for no apparent reason. Day number two doing that. The day prior I had no idea my evening class was cancelled and rushed over to NYC from work as if I wasn't going to make it in time. All of that heavy breathing and fast paced walking for no reason. To just pay another fee and head back home. Well not home but to spend time with the only person that would answer my call at 9:00am in the morning (My Homie.Lover.Friend.)
No work because this was supposed to be a full day at school. I decided to enjoy this lovely weather with a little adventure. Until Mother Nature decided to ruin my moment and hit me with raging cramps that didn't end at all. On my way home I got sick. So much for a day off. I spent my entire morning and afternoon in bed. Until I gained a sudden rush of energy. I was happy to finally have some time alone with my boyfriend. But that didn't last long either.
The best part about my day was the fact that I hired my boyfriend as my new photographer. I got a haircut, after 3 months of prolonged growth. I am now on post number two of the day. If you ask me I had a semi-productive day.

Test shots with the Mister himself. I guessing being a basketball player and being able to make long distance shots gave him the ability to shoot proper angles of me.
At first I was skeptical about buying a new camera. I didn't have enough money for one of the higher priced DSLRs, which I was bummed out about. However,I was more so scared about buying a camera at a lower price point based off of quality. They always say you pay for what you get. I didn't want to get a camera that produced low quality images. Nonetheless, I'm pleased with the quality of my camera. I haven't retired my iPhone though. For some odd reason I like the images off of my iPhone more than the camera. I guess I just need to play with it a little more.
I'm having fun with Blogging. Two things I enjoy, writing and taking photos of myself. Welcome to a StylistaInMind.
